Privacy Policy

SeoWorx (the “Service”) is operated by InspireMe Labs (“we”, “us”, or “our”). The Service consists of the SeoWorx website at seoworx.org and the SeoWorx browser extension, which display SEO metrics inside Google search results and on the pages you visit.

This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using the Service you agree to the practices described here.

• Account information. When you create an account we collect your email address, a securely hashed password, and any name you choose to provide. Authentication is handled by our infrastructure provider, Supabase.
• Billing information. Payments are processed by Paddle, our Merchant of Record. We do not see or store your full card details. We retain the billing records Paddle returns to us — your plan, subscription status, and customer/subscription identifiers.
• Usage and lookup data. To return metrics, the extension sends the domain and page URL you are viewing to our backend, which fetches data for that domain. We also keep a per-day count of the credits your account consumes.
• Anonymous trial data. If you use the Service without registering, we create an anonymous identifier so we can meter the free trial. It is not linked to any personal information unless and until you create an account.
• On-page content. The on-page report (headings, word count, links, meta tags) for a page you have open is read locally in your browser and is not transmitted to us. For competitor pages shown in search results, our backend fetches the publicly available HTML.
• Technical data. Like most online services, our servers log standard request information such as IP address, browser type, and timestamps for security and reliability.

Our use of information received through the extension adheres to applicable browser store policies, including the Chrome Web Store Limited Use requirements. Specifically:

• Data is used only to provide and improve the user-facing SEO features you request.
• We do not sell your data, and we do not use it for advertising or to build advertising profiles.
• We do not transfer your data to third parties except the providers needed to deliver the Service (see below), or as required by law.
• No human reads your browsing data except where you have given consent, for security, or to comply with the law.

• To operate the Service — authenticate you, fetch and display SEO metrics, and meter credits.
• To process subscriptions, top-ups, and refunds through Paddle.
• To maintain security, prevent abuse, and enforce our Terms.
• To respond to support requests and send essential service notices.
• To understand and improve how the Service performs.

We share data only with the service providers required to run SeoWorx:

• Supabase — authentication and database (your account and usage records).
• Vercel — website and API hosting.
• Paddle — payment processing and billing as Merchant of Record.
• Moz, SpyFu, and DataForSEO — SEO data providers we query with the domain/URL you look up to retrieve metrics.

We may also disclose information if required by law, or to protect the rights, safety, and property of InspireMe Labs and our users.

The website uses strictly necessary cookies to keep you signed in. The extension stores your session token and preferences (such as your selected theme) in your browser’s local storage. We do not use third-party advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

We keep your account and usage data for as long as your account is active. Anonymous trial records are retained only as long as needed to meter the trial and are routinely cleared. When you delete your account, we delete or anonymize your personal data within a reasonable period, except where we must retain records to meet legal or accounting obligations.

We use industry-standard measures — encryption in transit, hashed passwords, and access controls — to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Depending on where you live (including under the GDPR and CCPA), you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise these rights, email privacy@seoworx.org and we will respond within the time required by applicable law.

We and our providers may process your data in countries other than your own. Where we transfer personal data internationally, we rely on appropriate safeguards as required by applicable law.

The Service is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their personal data. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.

We may update this policy from time to time. When we make material changes we will update the date above and, where appropriate, notify you. Continued use of the Service after a change means you accept the updated policy.
